Accounts and calculator inputs
PicoChest does not provide accounts or sign-in. Amounts, shipping costs, discount or reward rates, product information, and results entered or calculated in the Compare tools are processed in your browser. They are not sent to a PicoChest database or Google Analytics.
Google Analytics 4
PicoChest uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand usage and improve the site. The GA4 tag loads only after you allow analytics. If you decline, the tag is not loaded and every tool and game remains available.
After permission is given, PicoChest may send page views and allowlisted interaction events such as tool views and calculations, language switches, and Daily or Practice starts and completions. Calculator inputs, free text, exact game scores, timing errors, Personal Best, Streak, email addresses, and contact messages are not sent.
GA4 may use cookies such as _ga and _ga_* and send a client ID, approximate location, limited browser and device information, page views, and allowlisted interaction events to Google. PicoChest does not use Google Signals, advertising features, ads personalization, User-ID, or user-provided data. Granular location and device data collection is disabled. GA4 data retention is 14 months, with reset on new activity disabled.

Analytics consent storage
Your consent state, selection time, policy version, and expiry are stored for six months in localStorage, separately from Daily game records. This record is not linked to an account, sent to a PicoChest database, or synced to another device. Clearing browser site data may remove it.
You can change your choice at any time through “Analytics settings” in the footer of every page. Withdrawing permission changes analytics storage to denied, removes first-party GA cookies, and reloads the page so future collection stops. It does not automatically erase data already sent before withdrawal.
Daily game records in your browser
Daily 10-Second Challenge results, streaks, and Personal Best records are saved in separate localStorage. They are not linked to a personal account or automatically synced to another browser or device. Clearing browser site data may remove these records.
Contact email
The mailto contact link opens your email application. Your message and email address are handled by your email provider and the receiving email service. Contact contents are not sent to GA4.
Access logs
Once the site is hosted, the hosting infrastructure may record standard access logs—such as IP address, time, and request details—for security and operations. The exact handling depends on the hosting environment ultimately used.
Updates
If the service, consent design, or external services change, this policy will be updated to match the implementation. Material privacy or consent changes can require a new choice.
